Remedies for Alleviating Skin Irritation Caused by Threading

Often women suffer from sever itching after undergoing a threading session for removing facial hair. Some simple home remedies using natural products can rid them from the skin irritation. Here, we have discussed the three most effective remedies for skin itching after threading.

Apply Essential Oils

• Recipe 1: Applying an essential oil blend comprising of jojoba oil, bergamot oil and rosewood oil can help in relieving the skin irritation occurring after shaving or threading facial hair. For preparing the oil blend, mix together 12 teaspoon jojoba oil, 1 teaspoon bergamot oil and ½ teaspoon rosewood oil. The mixing should be done in a small glass bottle; shake the bottle well so that all the ingredients mix well with each other. Now, using a cotton ball apply the mixture gently all over your face.  Do not wash off the oil if it’s not bothering you. The unused portion can be used for 60 days if stored in a refrigerator.
• Recipe 2: The second essential oil recipe for reducing skin irritation after threading involves use of olive oil, frankincense oil and helichrysum oil. In a small glass bottle, combine 10 teaspoon of olive oil with ½ teaspoon each of frankincense oil and helichrysum oil. Shake the bottle well and apply the mix onto your face using cotton balls. Wait for 10 minutes and wash the face using lukewarm water. The next step would be applying a moisturizer that suites your skin type.

Apply the Vitamin E Oil and Milk Mix

To prepare the mixture, blend together ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil and 2 teaspoon of cold milk. The mixing should be done in a bowl. Stir the mixture carefully. Now, dip your fingers into the mixture and massage the affected skin areas using the mix. You should use gentle circular strokes while massaging. Massage for 5 minutes and then wait for 20 more minutes to allow the mix penetrate your skin pores. After 20 minutes, wash off your face using cool water.
